“TCc Food Safety Project" funded by the European Union, organized a consultation exercise on risk assessment related to FMD at the project office on 23 November 2022.
Our Senior Non-Key Expert - Viktoria Lets together with our Team Leader - Dr. Mina Barova held the consultation exercise for the representatives of the `veterinary department’ and interested participants from the educational veterinary body.
This consultation exercise aimed to explain, clarify and showcase the process of qualitative risk assessment of FMD using different risk assessment tools.
The consultation focused on the approach for conducting qualitative risk assessment and the methodology of collection of expert’s opinion (elicitation process) by using an electronic voting system (Mentimeter).
The participants had interactive discussions on the results and the possible risk management options based on the identified level of risk.
For training purposes, the project experts will prepare a report on qualitative risk assessment based on the conducted simulation exercise for risk assessment of FMD in the northern part of Cyprus.
