📢 Project Update! The EU Food Safety Project continues making progress in enhancing veterinary medical product (VMP) traceability.
In February, an EU Food Safety Project expert mission took place to support key beneficiaries including farms, wholesalers, and beekeepers, in enhancing veterinary medical product (VMP) traceability. The focus was on strengthening record-keeping practices. There is growing awareness of the importance of maintaining accurate VMP records, though challenges remain, particularly among smaller farms and clinics. Efforts are also underway to support farmers with record templates and on-the-spot training.
Another mission is planned for April 2025 to further refine traceability systems and support local stakeholders in achieving responsible use of VMPs.
