EU Food Safety Project providing technical assistance to the PDO farmers to support on how to implement essential biosecurity measures, ensuring compliance with animal registration, identification rules and protocols for preventing direct and indirect contact with wildlife and other animals, setting up operational procedures, sustaining basic hygiene practices, implementing effective waste management control and record-keeping, implement treatment of animals - all aiming at protecting public health and providing safe environment for the animals.
