Hands-On Training for Stronger Food Traceability

The EU Food Safety Project is working on hands-on capacity building on the checks on record keeping, labelling and traceability issues for food and feed ingredients, starting right from primary production.

With food supply chains becoming more complex, keeping traceability strong from farm to fork is essential to protect consumers and build trust. Through practical traceability exercises, experts are supporting stakeholders across the entire supply chain — from feed producers and primary producers to transporters, storage facilities, shops, restaurants, fast food outlets, catering services and ready-to-eat food producers.

These on-the-job activities focus on verifying records, labelling and commercial documents, identifying gaps, and proposing concrete corrective measures. Preparation, briefing and debriefing sessions ensure that lessons learned are turned into practical guidance for the future.
