🌱 Spring 2026 is buzzing with food safety at TCc!
This March, the EU Food Safety Project (EU FSP) brought hands-on guidance, on-site visits, trainings, and meetings to every corner of its premises and beyond—from rural areas to production facilities—strengthening hygiene, traceability, and food safety across the food chain.
🔍 Traceability in action
EU FSP experts visited food businesses across TCc, providing practical advice on record-keeping, labelling, and ingredient traceability. Operators received tailored guidance to identify gaps, implement corrective measures, and ensure products can be tracked quickly in case of any food safety incident.
📚 Tailored trainings – Train-the-Trainer for quality and consistency
Train-the-Trainer (ToT) sessions were delivered to ensure better quality and more consistent checks across food operators and inspectors. Workshops equipped participants with the knowledge and tools to maintain high standards in daily operations.
🧪 Laboratory excellence – validated monitoring programme
The validation of the monitoring programme was welcomed by all the beneficiaries. The programme aims to ensure reliable and systematic testing of food for pesticides, residues, and heavy metals, covering defined food groups and minimum sample numbers. Laboratory beneficiaries are now preparing their annual testing plans, while hands-on guidance strengthened their capacity to apply good laboratory practices, quality control, and quality assurance to ensure precise, accurate, and compliant results.
📸 Activities everywhere – no space left unused
From rural farms to labs, offices, and even the kitchen of the project premises, EU FSP activities were happening in every corner, sometimes squeezed into tight spaces but always at full capacity. Photos from these moments capture the energy, teamwork, and hands-on approach that define the project.
🌟 Stronger food chains, safer food
Through these activities, EU FSP in TCc is making sure food is safe, traceable, and consistently high-quality, while building skills, confidence, and consistency across the sector.
