EU FOOD SAFETY PROJECT: OUR TRAINING SESSIONS ARE STARTING IN SEPTEMBER!
We would like to inform you about the upcoming trainings under the “EU Food Safety Project” funded within the scope of the European Union Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community.
The trainings will be organised in the period September 2023 - April 2024 as follows:
- Trainings on antimicrobial resistance according to EU requirements
- Training on EU legislation on listed animal diseases and crisis preparedness
- Trainings/workshops on-farm hygiene, animal health threats, general animal disease prevention and risk mitigation
- Animal disease detection notification
- Panels for the general public on animal disease emergencies, animal diseases risks, and prevention
- Organization and implementation simulation exercises to test the implementation/suitability of contingency plans and operational manuals
- Trainings on planning, organization, and implementation of ‘official’ controls
- Consultation exercise on ‘official’ recognition of risk status for bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in accordance with Chapter 11.4. of the Terrestrial Code
- Consultation exercise on risk assessment based on Section 2 and Chapter 11.4. of the Terrestrial Code
- Consultation on risk assessment of the introduction of Foot-and-Mouth Disease in the northern part of Cyprus
- Trainings on use of veterinary medicines: daily consultation exercises for private veterinarians from different regions
- Trainings on use of veterinary medicines: consultation exercise for veterinary experts in charge for control of VMP
- Consultation for the programme for control of the use of veterinary medicines in food-producing animals: assist the local bodies in tuning of the drafted programme for control of the use of veterinary medicines in food-producing animals
