The second panel of the “Technical assistance to improve the implementation of food safety standards and disease crisis preparedness” project funded by the EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community will be held on the 22nd of December. The panel aims to raise the general public awareness of cattle disease risks, emergencies, and particularly prevention and to improve passive surveillance.

Target group: General public (veterinary students, agriculture and animal husbandry high school pupils, hunters, veterinary medicine pharmacies, animal keepers/farmers, etc)
The panel will focus on the following topics; animal health law in the EU, surveillance basics, biosecurity principles, cattle diseases emergencies, risks, and prevention; preparedness for cattle diseases crisis.
