The EU Food Safety Project (EU FSP) recently organised a training session for poultry farmers focused on improving both animal health and public health. During the session, farmers learned about monitoring diseases in poultry, how to properly control their flocks, and the importance of keeping accurate records.
The training also covered surveillance practices and provided detailed guidance on high-priority diseases, including Avian Influenza, Newcastle Disease, and Salmonella. By strengthening farmers’ understanding of these practices, the session aimed to ensure safer poultry production, protect public health, and support effective disease prevention.
