Component II - Animal disease crisis preparedness

Planned results for this task group are:


Result 21 Farmers are aware/understand the risk of introduction of high impact/exotic animal diseases in the northern part of Cyrus. At least 20% of farmers increasingly implement prevention and risk reduction measures and more                         readily notify disease suspicion of the veterinary services.

Result 22 Improved capacities of veterinary services to early detection control and eliminate high impact/exotic animal diseases and maintenance of favourable animal health status.


Result 23 Contingency plans and operational manuals drafted/upgraded, tested, and suitable/applicable in real animal disease crisis situations in the TCc.


Result 24 The beneficiaries (at central and local levels) are capable of effectively implementing contingency plans and operational manuals in case of a disease emergency.
